For every traumatic story she told us about not sticking your arm or leg out of the car window because it would be torn off. About not playing w/ toys out the car windows because we would lose whatever was out the windows & whatever was attached to it. I have my limbs intact because mom put terrifying images into my head. Wish this kid's mom had done the same.
THANKS FOR FEEDING MY IMAGINATION & LETTING ME TERRIFY MYSELF INTO BEHAVING THE WAY YOU WANTED. I ONLY HAVE A FEW PHOBIAS LEFT, I'VE GOTTEN BETTER AT WALKING DOWN HOTEL HALLWAYS ALONE.

My mom warned me about sticking your hand/arm/foot/head out the car window too! I'm not so good with the hotel hallway - my sister had a friend who had badness visit upon them.
Can my parent induced phobia list be friends with yours?
Friday's almost here!!! I want to walk on fear with you.
Love you so much!

Yippeeeee - I can't wait to see u guys & spend time w/ u & then walk on fire w/ u & then we can mix up booze & settle in & watch the presidential debates or wake up & watch them in the morning... Or something.
EEEEEEEEEEEEP!!! I get to see you!!!
John and Veronica constantly warned us about that. I am still to this day no one to let my arm out the window. I've got the hotel walking down pat...occupational necessity and all.
I still have vivid memories of my mother yelling at me for walking ahead of her & around the corner in hotels (out of her sightline) and being told all about how easy it would be for some stranger to just wait w/ the door ajar, snatch me into his room, and slit my throat. All before she even rounded the corner. Burned into my head I tell you.
When people roll their eyes at my worst case scenarios or possibilities of danger - I didn't get to be this way left to my own devices - Mom helped start me off.
